When building a friendship online it is important to communicate often so that this can lead to a meaningful relationship.     I agree with you Collette.
    With the technology of video chats, we have the ability to feel closer to the person we are speaking with. It allows us to have a connection with that person that we may not feel otherwise.
    Also, you know that this person's appearance is truthful to their description. Like you said Collette, there are no surprises if, and when you meet face-to-face.
    Cam chatting has also proven beneficial to those who already have a relationship out of the online world, but need to communicate from long distances. Not only is it less expensive than making long distance phonecalls, but it allows a feeling of closeness, even if a couple is miles apart.
